Three calculators for common percentage problems.
A percentage calculator solves common percentage problems: finding a percentage of a number, calculating percentage increase or decrease, and determining what percentage one number is of another.
Example: 25% of 200 = 50. A change from 80 to 100 is a 25% increase.
To find X% of Y, multiply Y by X and divide by 100: Result = (X x Y) / 100. For example, 25% of 200 = (25 x 200) / 100 = 50.
Percentage change = ((New Value - Old Value) / Old Value) x 100. If the result is positive, it is an increase. If negative, it is a decrease. Example: from 80 to 100 = ((100-80)/80) x 100 = 25% increase.
Divide X by Y and multiply by 100: Percentage = (X / Y) x 100. Example: 30 is what percent of 150? (30/150) x 100 = 20%.
